Sneak up on your personal best wearing the better-than-ever Brooks Ghost 8 running shoes, now designed with an updated full-length Segmented Crash Pad for ultra-smooth heel-to-toe transitions. With the new engineered mesh upper you’ll enjoy a sock-like fit thanks to the virtually seamless construction. Ideal for runners with medium to high arches and normal pronation. Upper: 3D Fit Print uses screen-print technology to apply engineered structure to the upper to maintain the shoe structure and increase flexibility with lighter weight. Engineered mesh helps feet stay cooler and drier. Padded tongue and heel collar enhance comfort. Lace-up front offers an adjustable fit. Midsole: BioMoGo DNA midsole provides adaptive cushioning. Full-length Segmented Crash Pad provides flexibility while maintaining cushioning. Omega Flex Grooves provide flexibility while maintaining cushioning. Removable insole. Outsole: Blown Rubber outsole provides responsiveness and flexibility. Runner's World Editor's ChoiceFall Shoe Guide 2015"We put the Ghost 8 on 33 runners around the country. They gave it an overall score average of 6.6 out of 7, one of the highest ratings we've seen. Five of the previous seven editions have won awards, and Brooks wisely didn't change much in this update. The upper has a new 'engineered' mesh, making it supportive in some areas and softer in others—like in the 'bunion window' alongside the ball of your foot. The crash pad has been extended along the full length of the outside of the foot to accommodate any landing and provide a smooth transition as the foot rolls forward. Our lab measured a reduction in flexibility, but only a few testers complained, and they noted that it improved with a few miles on them. The cushioning reduces shock but still gives a stable and responsive ride."
